On October 29 and 30, a group of academics from across the Southeast will host a two-day “Digital Humanities in the Southeast” event. Held jointly at Georgia Tech on the 29th and Georgia State on the 30th, the workshop will feature talks by local scholars, a grant preparation workshop run by a representative from the NEH’s Office of Digital Humanities, and, schedule permitting, individual meetings with NEH ODH representatives regarding existing or new project proposals.
To participate, please complete and submit an event registration form online covering all of the various registration options. There is no cost for individual registrations; however, as space is limited, registration in advance is required so that we can make appropriate arrangements regarding reservations and space. The deadline for submitting registrations for individual participants is September 26, 2014.
If you are interested in briefly presenting on your work at either the “DH in the Southeast Symposium” session on Wednesday, 10/29, or the “Regional DH Poster and Demo Session” on Thursday, 10/30, please include a brief abstract of your proposed talk in the respective sections of your registration form.
If you would like to request an individual meeting with an NEH representative, please include a brief description of your proposal in the respective section of your registration form so that a representative from your institution can read it in advance. As the number of meeting slots is very limited, we will be assigning these meetings on an institutional basis. Spelman’s representative is Ayoka Chenzira.
