National Institutes of Health Early Career Reviewer Program

November 5, 2014 by Claudia Scholz

Junior faculty who are research-active in NIH-funded disciplines are invited to apply to be grant reviewers.  It is not necessary to hold a grant from NIH to be a reviewer.  In fact, the goal of the program is to make young investigators more successful in securing NIH grants by giving them an insider’s view of the review process.  ECRs are assigned as third reviewer to up to four proposals in a study section.
