The National Endowment for the Humanities has invited applications for a new fellowship program to help scholar produce books with a broad public appeal. The book should combine scholarship with a compelling story.
Applicants should have published at least one scholarly book that reached a broad audience, so this is clearly geared to senior scholars with a track record of engaging readers beyond academia.
Applications are due in March 2015.
