  1. Short-term fellowships in the humanities – Spring Deadlines

December 9, 2014 by Claudia Scholz

Short-term residencies at libraries and archives are an opportunity for scholars to dedicate themselves full-time to their research. Many libraries offer residential fellowships to encourage researchers to use their collections. Such opportunities are a good way to get your feet wet in proposal-writing and will help you establish a funding track record, both of which can help you to secure larger and more prestigious fellowships in the future. Dan Kirschenbaum of ACS has compiled a sampling of short-term residential fellowships with deadlines coming up next semester. Contact OSP if you intend to apply.

Register by September 26 to participate in a two-day event highlighting the digital humanities to be held at Georgia Tech (Oct. 29) and Georgia State (Oct. 30). This is a great opportunity to talk to representatives of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
